Custom AI development services
AI built around the business you already run
We build custom AI for businesses across Australia and New Zealand, from assistants that answer on your own data to agents that take repetitive work off your team. Most of it goes into the systems you already run, rather than replacing them.
AI Agents and Workflow Automation
Multi-step work that used to need a person: triage, routing, extraction, drafting, follow-up. We scope each agent to a bounded task and put a human check wherever a mistake would cost you money.
Custom Knowledge Assistants
Your documents, contracts, tickets and product data, searchable by meaning rather than keyword. The quality comes from the retrieval rather than the model, so we build it to say "I don't know" instead of inventing an answer that reads well.
AI Inside Your Existing Website or Platform
Most AI work is not a new build. We add it to what you already run, whether that is a custom platform, a SaaS product, or a WordPress or Shopify site, inside your existing logins, permissions and audit trail.
Customer Support Automation
Assistants that resolve the repetitive questions and hand everything else to a person with the context already attached. We measure deflection and resolution, not conversations started.
Document Processing and Data Extraction
Invoices, applications, contracts and forms turned into structured data your systems can actually use. Built with a review step, because extraction that is right ninety-five percent of the time still needs somewhere for the rest to go.
AI for E-commerce
Product descriptions, search that understands intent, recommendations and support, across Shopify, WooCommerce and custom stores. Measured against revenue per visit rather than novelty.
Model Selection and LLM Integration
Frontier models, open weights, or something small and fine-tuned, chosen per task and routed accordingly. We measure cost per resolved case rather than per token, and we will tell you when the cheaper option is the better one.
Evaluation, Guardrails and Ongoing Support
Test sets built before the feature, so you can prove a change made things better rather than only different. Fallbacks for when a model is slow, wrong or unavailable, and someone to call when it is.

Our AI development team
Backed by120+ engineers
Why teams choose us for their AI work:
We take AI projects from prototype to production, and we build them inside the systems you already run. Small senior teams, working in your timezone, with specialists brought in when a project calls for them.
The person who scopes your project is the person who builds it. We keep teams small, and when a project needs a specialist we do not have in-house, we bring one in and tell you who they are. You will not be sold to by one team and delivered by another.
Built for production, not for the demo
Most AI pilots prove the model can do the task, then stall on everything around it: permissions, audit trails, error handling, and who owns it once it is live. We scope those from the first week. It makes early progress look slower and it is the reason the launch actually happens.
Data residency, privacy and compliance
Where your data is processed, what is retained and what gets logged, answered in writing before the first prototype. For Australian and New Zealand organisations that answer has to hold up against the Privacy Act and against your own customers, and it is far cheaper to design for than to retrofit.
The person who scopes your project is the person who builds it. We keep teams small, and when a project needs a specialist we do not have in-house, we bring one in and tell you who they are. You will not be sold to by one team and delivered by another.
AI case studies
AI running in production, not in a sandbox
We build AI that answers to real customers in real time. Below is a voice agent taking live phone calls in Gulf Arabic for a UAE car care business, and the platform we built for the same client before it.
Automotive · UAE
Scan the plate, and the system already knows the customer, the visit count, and whether this wash is free
Staff scan a plate and Gemini reads it back with the customer, their vehicle history and anything outstanding, before a word is spoken. Jobs move through a live queue and close against payment — deposits, part-payments, refunds — with every total recalculated inside a database transaction, so an invoice can never be left half-updated. WhatsApp handles the customer side on its own: car ready, maintenance due, loyalty progress. And when it emerged that customers with several cars were earning free washes far faster than everyone else, the stamp card moved from the account to the number plate: fair per car, still redeemable on any of them.
It answers the phone in Gulf Arabic, books the job, and doesn't invent answers
The phone rings and nobody picks up, because nobody has to. The agent takes the call in Gulf Arabic — what a service costs, how long it takes, when there's a slot — and books it. It follows dialect and slang rather than textbook phrasing, and holds context when someone asks two things at once. Simple questions never reach the model: a rule layer settles those, which keeps both the cost and the wait down. The first deployment answers for a car care business, but the service list and the phrasing are configuration rather than code, so the same engine moves to a clinic or a salon without being rebuilt.

Our own work runs on the same tools we would put into your product. Smaller teams ship more, and we have already found where this technology falls over, before pointing it at your business.
Tools for AI development
What we build with, and why each one is there.
We build on models rather than training them from scratch, because almost no business needs its own. The work is everything around the model: what it reads, how it speaks, how you know it is right, and the product your customers actually touch.

Not every project needs the same shape. Start where it suits you.
Three ways in, and you can move between them. Most clients start small and widen the scope once they have seen how we work.
Discovery
Not sure what you're building yet?
A short paid engagement, usually a week or two, that ends with a written scope, the risks named, and a recommendation. It is yours whether you continue with us or not. Most projects that go badly were quoted before anyone understood them.

Project build
Want it built end to end?
We take the whole thing, scope, build, launch, handover. One point of contact, a fixed shape agreed before we start, and everything running in your accounts on your keys from the first day rather than the last.

Ongoing support
Need someone to keep it running?
A monthly arrangement for the work that never really finishes: updates, fixes, monitoring, small improvements. Some of our clients have been on this footing for years, which is the only real test of whether it works.

Start your AI project in two to four weeks.
You'll speak to an engineer.
The first call is with the person who would scope the work, not a sales desk. Sydney based, working Australian hours.
Tell us the problem, not the solution
A first call about what you're trying to fix, what already exists, and where your data has to stay. Enough for us to say honestly whether AI is the right answer, and to tell you when it isn't.
A written scope you own
A short paid discovery ends with the scope, the risks and a recommendation, in writing. It's yours whether or not you continue with us, and it's what makes a fixed quote possible instead of an estimate that drifts.
Build starts, and you see it early
Something you can actually use inside the first fortnight rather than at the end. Evaluation and guardrails go in alongside the feature, so what works in week two still works in month six.
How we deliver AI solutions that drive business value:
We have refined our AI services across hundreds of projects. Whether you need end-to-end execution or support for an internal team, we step in wherever you need us to move projects forward without friction.
Audit & requirements discovery
We document what exists, who touches it and what it has to do. Business objectives translate into technical requirements before anyone writes code.
1
Platform evaluation & architecture design
Our architects evaluate platforms against your requirements and design the architecture around them, rather than bending the requirements to a platform.
2
Modelling & taxonomy design
We define types, field relationships, metadata schemas and taxonomies that support reuse and findability. Getting this right early is what keeps later changes cheap.
3
Migration planning & data mapping
For migrations we audit existing content, map structures to the new system and build automated scripts with validation checkpoints.
4
Development & integration
Our developers build the components and integrate the platform fully with the systems around it, so nothing is left to manual re-keying.
5
Testing & quality assurance
Automated and manual testing across functionality, performance, accessibility and security, run continuously rather than at the end.
6
Launch & ongoing support
We handle the cutover, monitor what happens next, and stay available for the changes that always follow a launch.

AI FAQ
What clients ask us before starting an AI project
Where will our data be processed, and what's kept?
That depends on choices we make together at the start, which is why we ask early. If your data can't leave Australia, we build on Australian regions or your own infrastructure and pick models accordingly. If it can't leave your network at all, hosted frontier models are out and we design around open weights instead. You get the answer in writing before the first prototype, it's far cheaper to design for than to retrofit.
How do we know the AI is actually right?
We build the test set before we build the feature. On the voice agent we ship for a UAE client, that meant 94 real calls scored for intent, pricing, context and whether it ever invented an answer. It passed all 94 and hallucinated nothing. Without a test set you're shipping on impressions, and impressions don't survive a board asking how accurate it is.
We tried an AI pilot and it stalled. What went wrong?
Almost always the same thing. The pilot proved the model could do the task, and nobody had planned for permissions, audit trails, error handling, or who owns it once it's live. The demo was never the hard part. We scope those in the first week, which makes early progress look slower and is the reason the launch actually happens.
Can you add AI to the website or platform we already have?
Yes, and that's most of our work. It goes inside your existing logins, permissions and audit trail, whether that's a custom platform, a SaaS product, or a WordPress or Shopify build. Very little of this is greenfield.
Can it answer our real phone number?
Yes. A cloud number is easy; answering the line already printed on your signage takes a SIP trunk into your carrier. We've done it with du and Etisalat in the UAE, and the same approach works with Australian providers. It's the difference between a demo people call to try and a system that picks up when a customer rings.
Does it work in languages other than English?
Yes. The voice agent we run handles Gulf Arabic, dialect and slang, not textbook phrasing, and holds context when someone asks two things at once. Language is configuration rather than a rebuild.
What does it cost to run once it's live?
Less than most people expect, and rarely where they expect. We measure cost per resolved case, not per token, because a cheaper model that needs three attempts isn't cheaper. Routing the simple work to smaller models is usually the single biggest saving, and we build for that from the start.
Do we need our own model, or is fine-tuning enough?
Most businesses need neither. Good retrieval usually beats fine-tuning, costs less, and is far easier to change when your business changes. We'll say so plainly rather than sell you the more expensive answer, and where fine-tuning is genuinely right, we'll show you why.
How quickly can you start?
Usually two to four weeks. We'd rather begin with a short paid discovery than a proposal written on assumptions. You get the scope, the risks and a written recommendation, and it's yours whether or not you carry on with us.
Who owns what you build?
You do. The code, the prompts, the evaluation sets, the infrastructure. Your repositories, your cloud accounts, your provider keys. There's no layer of ours in the middle that you'd have to buy your way out of.
