Reorder reminders: the easiest repeat revenue for delivery and subscription stores

If your customers buy the same thing again and again, a well-timed reminder is the simplest way to grow. Here's how to do it without annoying anyone.

Water, coffee, pet food, skincare, cleaning supplies. If your customers run out and buy again, you're sitting on the easiest growth there is: bringing them back at the right moment.

Why timing beats frequency

A generic "we miss you" email every fortnight trains people to ignore you. A reminder that lands just before they run out feels helpful. The trick is to time it to each customer, not to your calendar.

How to time it

  • Look at how often each customer has ordered in the past.
  • Send the reminder a few days before their usual reorder date.
  • Pre-fill their usual order, so it's one tap to buy again.
  • Stop reminding once they've ordered, and never send more than one at a time.

Keep it on the right side of the rules

Under Australia's Spam Act, marketing messages need consent, must identify your business and must include an easy way to unsubscribe. A reorder reminder is a marketing message, so treat it like one.

Algoritmi Assist learns each customer's buying rhythm and sends a one-tap reorder link just before they'd run out, with unsubscribe built in. After delivery it can also ask happy customers for a Google review.
